The Price Family: June 2008

Its a no go folks...

So I heard about a toddler tap class and it was really cheap so I thought why not, until I went to look for tap shoes and couldn't find any under $30.00 !
I called to cancel and the woman says I should just have him go the toddler dance class thats 30 minutes before the tap class and he won't have to wear shoes, I went back and forth all day and then decided why not its only 3 classes so I called to let Gary know and he hung up on me lol but I called and told them to count him in.
We get there and before I could tell him what was going on he just followed the other kids in the room....he started out okay sitting with the kids and then 5 minutes later he noticed I wasn't around and started crying !
One of the teachers picked him up and had him calmed down but everytime she had to put him down or tried to have him dance with the kids he would start crying again...so they had to take him out of class ! He lasted about 20 minutes !
After class the teacher told me to have him come back when he was older lol !
Oh well I just wanted him to do something and this was the only thing available to kids his age.

oh well maybe I should just buy him some tap shoes and let him play at home in them since thats the only reason I started this whole thing, thinking he would love stomping around making tons of noise.

You gotta love the stuff that amuses kids :)

Fun Day 2008 !!

Today was fun day once again and this time Gary got to come and enjoy the day with us!
The weather wasn't very enjoyable unfortunatly....I think the highest temp today was 91 degrees (32 celsius if your canadian lol) and let me tell you it was HOT !

I am guessing this is the teachers favorite activity, the kids have to get down and around the cones and the teacher gets to spray the kids with the hose while they race !!!
I have to say kudos to the teachers for having the control to not soak a few of the harder kids I have yet to see a good soaking lol !

This one is musical freeze pops lol the kids have to go around in a circle and all the lines are numbered when the music stops the grown up in charge announces 3 numbers and those three kids are out but they get freeze pops so no one really loses on this one!

Bean bag toss...

Face painting station, they only had 2 volunteers so I jumped in for Hunters class because all the activities are on a time schedule and there was no way they would have all had a turn.
I should just volunteer next year since I end up helping every year.
