Thank you all for the christmas cards !!

I woke up at 7:30am to put the turkey in the oven and then at about 8am Shawn started moving around so we woke up Hunter and let the boys open gifts....Shawn wouldn't start without his mini bagel and his juice lol !!

Never again will he get this gift I woke up this morning and he used the whole entire bottle spraying the house and his bedroom !!

If his door is open more than 5 minutes I get a headache its sooo bad...anyone know how to get rid of the smell lol.

Here mom I am over this opening presents thing...

Santa got him a new fridge magnet its so cute its a fridge and it comes with 26 magnets that are each a different food item and when you put them in the little fridge it tells you what it is and what color and what the letter is!

We got Shawn new bed sheets so that maybe it will be easier to get him to sleep in his own bed so far he loves his bed sheets

he let me snuggle him and then I said mommy's elmo bed and he pulled my hair !!

Soon the appetizers were done and Shawn dug in his favorite was cheese ball and chips and dip!

we had to clean him up many times!

Poor Uncle Corey he was ran ragged by Shawn chasing him around and drinking and eating all his food lol !

This cheesecake turned out so good I usually crack them or burn the top and it was perfect and tasted even better !

Christmas Eve !

We let the boys open two presents the traditional new pajama's and a random gift

Hunter got to open his guitar hero soo not my idea I think Gary just wanted to play it really bad..lol !

I am thinking he liked it..lol


Shawn was so cute he unwrapped his pj's and hugged them it was the sweetest thing!

I put them on him and he danced around and just looked so proud of his new pj's

Shawn's new favorite thing to do....

Helping mommy with the dishes is Shawns favorite thing to do !!!
He had so much fun and ended up soaked !

I let him play in the sink for about 10 minutes finally when he was covered in water and had flooded the floor underneath him I told him we were all done

and this is what happened after I told him all done I took him down and put the chair back at the table and he screamed and kept pulling the chair back to the sink...lol !

Pitiful isn't it......

Hunters Field Trip

Today Hunter had a field trip, his class went walking around downtown wilmington visiting all the historic buildings and learning about them.

I wish I could have gone with them but I didn't want Shawn outside in the cold that long still being sick so we joined them to have lunch on the Cape Fear river at the end of their field trip.

This is the Battleship they do tours in it and in the summer they hang a big movie screen on that thing on the front and you can go watch movies on the battleship at night time, Hunter and I saw The Wizard of Oz on the ship it was really neat.

Healing house and tooth extactions

First thank you to everyone who has cared about us this past month, We have all been so sick First Gary then Me and Shawn (luckily Hunter didn't catch it) and it seemed to last forever then on top of being really sick I had an excruciating tooth ache.
Isn't it supposed to be Christmas?? I guess we didn't get the memo...LOL!
Good news is Gary is all better Shawn is finally starting to feel better and I found the most amazing dentist office they were so nice and fit me in immediatly and were really helpful they went over all my options, I had to get my tooth pulled and let me tell you when they say all you will feel is pressure they are LYING seriously it was like torture.
My poor dentist felt so bad he said it was a tough tooth to get and he and the nurse were really nice to me even though I was a huge baby about the whole thing.
Later that day my mouth was so sore I didn't know if I was going to make it thru the day, but when I woke up today it was like night and day now I just have to be careful what I eat for a couple days but I am pain free !!!
So thank you everyone for caring about me and my tooth and my sick family we are all feeling better thanks to your love and care :)

Church Christmas Party !

Our Church rented a hall and treated us all to a catered dinner it was so nice !




Shawn was starting to get sick and was being naughty trying to throw cups on the floor and making a mess with his dinner.


Hunter had a good time sitting with my friends daughter they even got to have decaf coffee at the end of their meal (hey it was a special occasion and they gave puppy dog eyes).


Santa made a surprise visit and the boys got to sit on Santa's lap Hunter was thrilled Shawn not so much lol!

Okay so Hunter doesn't looked thrilled but trust me he gave Santa a list and promised to be good !

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree....

The kids and I went through the Christmas boxes while Gary strung the lights.
Shawn liked the Reindeer antlers...

but did not like the santa hat....

We all decorated the tree together and I was surprised at how well Shawn did, he hasn't touched the lights so far he just looks at them and says hot....every ornament we gave him he would go over to the tree and try his best to hang them.

I did all the breakables and Hunter did all his handmade ones that he made in school.

Gary vacuumed up before we put the tree skirt down and Shawn liked the air blowing on him from the vacuum...its funny what amuses kids!

I tried to get some nice pictures of the boys in front of the tree and it didn't work out too well we tried about 8 times to get them both smiling and looking in the right direction.

This was number 8....can you tell why we stopped at 8?
